You've completed your business plan and financial projections. Perhaps you are buying an existing business or a franchise. Or maybe your business is ready for the next stage... a second location or expanded product line. Eventually you need to start thinking about financing options.

Should you consider a traditional bank loan or are non-bank options better for your situation? What bank should you consider and what are the loan guarantee options? How do you prepare for your first meeting with the bank's commercial loan officer? What about non-bank loan options such as WHEDA, WWBIC, chamber of commerce, economic development corporations, credit unions, or micro-lenders? Should you consider crowd funding or previous owner financing? Maybe your business model would interest venture capital funding or an angel investor? How do you come up with the sweat equity that all funding will ask for?

This overview course will explain the various options for financing your small business and which options may be best for you. SCORE enlists two experts to take you through this process in a hands-on dynamic workshop. It is targeted towards start up entrepreneurs or existing small business owners.
